Drummer, Percussionist, and Vocalist in Nashville, Tennessee
"Man, I love your groove!" - Bobby Rush
Chris is playing live with Nashville's premier event bands, and recent years brought national dates with American Idol's Amelia Eisenhauer - while recording drum tracks and mixing projects for clients across the world in his studio, Drumattic Nashville.
Because of his wide range of musical styles (pop, rock, jazz, and country, to classical and orchestral work) as well as his background vocal ability while playing, Chris keeps his schedule busy as a studio session player and touring artist.
As an on-call musician, Chris backs up some of Nashville's most talented songwriters on cajon and percussion, and fills in with artists or groups with little notice.
Chris holds a Bachelor's of Music in Percussion Performance from New York's Conservatory of Music at Purchase College with additional studies at Hartt School of Music. Chris endorses and whole-heartedly recommends Grover Pro Percussion.
Available for studio session work (demo and master), artist live tours, A+B level sub situations (short or long term) including corporate/event bands. Previous engagements have included road management, tech and/or music direction. Skills: click and backing track fluency (performance, tech and composition), harmony vocals, in-ear monitoring. Experienced in Nashville number charts and traditional music notation.
Drumattic Nashville is the professional page for Christopher Speich, a Nashville-based drummer, percussionist, and vocalist. Drumattic is a studio specializing in internet/online drum tracking, project mixing and production, and commercial recording.
